QJ Motor Unveils SRT 300 DX Dual-Sport Bike
Chinese manufacturer QJ Motor has officially unveiled the SRT 300 DX, a new dual-sport motorcycle designed to take on segment heavyweights like the Honda CRF300 Rally and Suzuki DR-Z400. Powered by a 292.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the QJ SRT 300 DX delivers 29 horsepower and 24.5 Nm of torque. Weighing only 157 kg, the motorcycle offers a solid power-to-weight ratio.
The bike rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination, equipped with knobby tyres for improved off-road grip. Built on a steel frame, the SRT 300 DX features 275 mm of ground clearance making it suitable for rough terrains. However, with a seat height of 890 mm, shorter riders may find it less accommodating.
Design-wise, the SRT 300 DX takes cues from several well-known models, notably the Honda CRF300 Rally and even the larger Africa Twin. In China, the SRT 300 DX is priced at approximately $4,350 (approximately Rs 3.73 lakh), significantly undercutting the Honda CRF300 Rally’s price tag of around $7,600 (approximately Rs 6.51 lakh). QJ Motor is expected to launch the model soon in select European and Southeast Asian markets. India launch is unlikely to be on the cards.
