Ghaziabad: The dead body of a woman was found stuffed inside a suitcase along the canal road between Behta Hajipur of Loni, Ghaziabad, in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Police said a team was sent to the spot as soon as they received the information about the development.
The field unit was called in to assist with the investigation. Using scientific methods, the team examined the suitcase and recovered the body of an unidentified woman, estimated to be around 25 years old. The body was seen stuffed with legs in a cross position and head on one corner of the bag. Blood could be seen spilled just below the nose of the woman.
The woman was wearing toe rings, and there were signs that she was married. The victim is yet to be identified, the police said. They said the woman had one injury on her forehead and one on the back side.
Bengaluru Suitcase Murder Case
In a separate case, a CCTV footage has emerged weeks after a 17-year-old teen's body was found inside a suitcase near the railway tracks in Chandapura. The incident took place on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The clip shows two men carrying a blue colour suitcase.The footage from the night before shows two men carrying the suitcase along a quiet, empty road before they walk out of the camera’s view.
Moments later, one of the men is seen returning, appearing to check something behind a tree, before walking back the same way.
In another clip, the pair are seen having a serious conversation before picking up the suitcase and heading towards the tracks.
Earlier, eight persons, including a minor, have been arrested by the Bengaluru Rural Police for murdering a 17-year-old girl and dumping her body in a suitcase near a railway track close to Anekal.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was strangled to death. According to a Times of India report, the body was recovered on the morning of May 21.
Police recently discovered that the girl had travelled from Bihar to meet her lover, Aashiq Kumar, who had promised to marry her.
The accused allegedly killed the girl on the night of May 20 while in an inebriated state and, with the help of his relatives, stuffed her body into a suitcase before disposing of it.
