Superman might be among the strongest heroes DC has given us. But there's a vulnerable side to him too, a glimpse of which James Gunn gave to the audience through a special footage it released at the CinemaCon. While the clip shows David Corenswet's superhero surviving pain and injuries, it also brings back the Fortress of Solitude.

Fortress of Solitude and painful sun

At the annual film convention in Las Vegas, DC Studios released a sneak peek that further takes us inside the world of Superman. The close to five minute footage from the upcoming reboot shows actor David Corenswet falling on the snow-capped landscape, injured and calling out Krypto, his trusted pet dog. He asks the pet to take him "home." Krypto then drags him into the Fortress of Solitude where a team of automatons treat him for 14 fractures and multiple organs damage.
Fortress of Solitude is Superman's famous lair of ice in the DC comics. The clip shows the hero getting treated with strong solar energy, something he finds difficult to bear. He screams in pain suggesting how the movie is set to show his vulnerableside too. The remaining part of the footage takes us back to the previous teasers that have already been released.

Fans give mixed response

The extended sneak peek has definitely raised excitement with fans flooding social media with reactions and comments. One user wrote on X, "I saw this in the theater before a screening of Minecraft. Before this trailer came on everybody was talking over the other trailers. The second this came on everyone shut up. It really looks incredible on the big screen. Much better than the first trailer too. This is going to be a blockbuster."
Another netizen wrote, "After seeing this little scene, I’m feeling a lot more optimistic about this movie. Seeing Krypto wanting to play with Clark and getting to go inside the Fortress of Solitude really gives me hope that this film will stay true to the spirit of the comic books."
Many however also wondered the reason behin the sun hurting Superman, something that was unexpected from the superhero. Some couldn't get enough of the visually appealing shots. "IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING just WOW now that’s PEAK CINEMATOGRAPHY enough to make you cry," wrote a fan.
