The new Superman film, directed by James Gunn, features two Lex Luthors, but fans will only be able to see one. Smallville actor Michael Rosenbaum, who played Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) nemesis, has confirmed he has a small voice part in the James Gunn reboot film. Here's what we know so far about the former Lex Luthor's voice cameo in the summer blockbuster.

Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum to voice a role in Superman

Rosenbaum and Gunn have previously collaborated on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films, where the actor played one of the Ravagers named Martinex. He confirmed that the two have worked together again on Superman. At the Fan Expo Dallas earlier this week, the actor stated, "James [Gunn] asked me to do something fun, so I have a couple of lines that I voice."
The report in Screen Rant also added, "Anyway, there was nothing [on-camera] in this one, but he’s the head of DC, so I think he can stick me in a [future] movie or something. He’s thoughtful, so I hope that happens. He’s one of my best friends, and he’s very loyal.”
The new Superman film is releasing on Rosenbaum's birthday, July 11. David Corenswet is the latest actor to take on the iconic dual role of Clark Kent and Superman in the DC Studios. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult takes over Rosenbaum's old role of Lex Luthor.
