Actors Park Bo-Gum and Lee Jun-Young who recently became part of Netflix's hit K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, have teamed up to release a digital single of If It Were Me. Park, who is currently seen in Good Boy, has played piano for the track which has Lee's vocals.

Actors Park Bo-Gum and Lee Jun-Young became part of one of 2025's biggest hit K-dramas, When Life Gives You Tangerines. Though the two actors did not share screen space as their characters belonged to different generations, the two Korean stars are getting to collaborate for a digital single that's a new version of If It Were Me.

A representative from KBS 2TV announced the news that the track will have piano by Bo-Gum, and will release on June 20 through major music streaming platforms. According to Allkpop, the track featured on The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, and was part of a live performance which aired in April 2025. The performance had Lee's emotionally rich and powerful vocals along with Park's delicate piano arrangement.
The KBS representative said, "Park Bo Gum is the first MC of 'The Seasons' to release a track he personally performed on. Given his ongoing passion and sincerity for music, we hope fans look forward to it."
Soon after the performance aired as part of the show, its clips went viral on the internet. Infact its YouTube Shorts clip crossed 1.2 million views with fans requesting for an official audio release.
About being part of When Life Gives You Tangerines
In When Life Gives You Tangerines, Park plays the character of Gwan Shik, the husband of IU's character Ae Soon. Meanwhile, Lee plays Young Beom, the boyfriend of their daughter Geum Myung (also played by IU). They never get to share screen together as by the time Lee enters the show, Gwan Shik is shown to have grown old, and actor Park Hae-Joon replaces Park Bo-Gum to play the aged character.
