Nani All Set To Reunite With Hi Nanna Director Shouryuv For Rom-Com, Shoot Might Begin In Late 2026 - Reports

Nani has carved a path for himself and has become one of the top stars in the Telugu industry after delivering back-to-back hit films. The actor is currently focused on his upcoming project, The Paradise. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film’s shoot is temporarily delayed due to financial issues. As per the latest reports, Nani might be reuniting with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv.

Yes, you read it right. Reportedly, Nani has given the green light to a new movie with director Shouryuv. Shouryuv made a strong debut with Hi Nanna, which was both a commercial success and critically acclaimed. This new project is said to be a lighthearted romantic comedy, a shift from Nani’s recent action-packed roles.

As per OTT Play report, "Shouryuv met him a few days ago and narrated a romantic comedy, which the HIT 3 star loved and gave his nod to. Nani has asked Shouryuv for a complete narration, which will happen in the coming weeks."

According to sources, the filming for this romantic comedy will likely begin in the latter half of 2026, after Nani wraps up his work with Sujeeth.

Initially, Nani had some reservations about Hi Nanna, given it was Shouryuv’s first film and the story seemed conventional. However, Shouryuv’s unique storytelling and presentation convinced Nani, resulting in a successful collaboration that won several awards.

For the unversed, Shouryuv, who is a doctor by profession, is known for his meticulous and thoughtful approach to filmmaking. He has spent considerable time developing this second film.

The new film with Shouryuv is expected to release around 2027. With Nani’s confidence in the script and Shouryuv’s vision, audiences can look forward to an exciting and fresh cinematic experience from this duo.

Meanwhile, Nani was last seen in HIT 3, where he plays the role of Arjun Sarkaar. The film is written and directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu and features Srinidhi Shetty, Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Maganti Srinath in key roles. Maganti Srinath returns as Abhilash in this part.
