Yogini Ekadasi, observed during Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha, is known for its powerful ability to destroy sins and diseases. It is believed that if one observes a fast on Ekadashi with full devotion, it helps dispel life's troubles and absolves one of sins. Observing Yogini Ekadashi is said to earn the same spiritual merit as feeding 88,000 Brahmins.
There are 24 Ekadashis observed throughout the year, occurring twice a month, once during Shukla Paksha and once during the Krishna Paksha phases of the moon. According to ISKCON Vrindavan, "This Ekadashi is glorified in the Padma Purana, where the Lord tells Yudhishthira that observing Yogini Ekadasi liberates one from suffering and leads to union with the Supreme."
On Yogini Ekadashi, devotees worship Lord Vishnu to get his blessings.

On the morning of Ekadashi, after a ritual bath, the devotee takes a vow to fast and wears clean clothes. Including Tulsi in the offerings is considered especially auspicious.
