iPhone 17 Air Launch Date In India, Price, Design, Size, Camera, Specifications, Leaks And More

Apple is prepping to launch its next-generation iPhone 17 series in September 2025 and one of the most talked-about models is the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air. While the name 'Air' is not official yet, this model is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever, measuring just 5.5mm thick. This new model will be launched alongside the regular iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple usually schedules its iPhone launch events in early September, and 2025 seems to be no different. Reports suggest that the launch event for the iPhone 17 series is expected to happen sometime between September 11 and 13.

Despite having fewer camera features compared to the Pro models, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs 99,900 in India. The pricing hints that Apple is positioning the Air model not just as a budget-friendly variant but a replacement to the Plus variant.

In terms of design, the iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to feature a titanium-aluminium frame, which should make it both lightweight and durable, similar to the build quality of the Pro models. While Apple hasn’t revealed official colours, the phone is likely to be available in Black, White and Pink.

Despite its thin design, Apple is not expected to compromise on camera quality. For photography, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to include a single 48MP rear camera with 2x optical zoom, similar to what is expected on the iPhone 16e. On the front, the device may feature a new 24MP selfie camera.

The iPhone 17 Air could be powered by Apple’s upcoming A19 chip and is also expected to come with 12GB of RAM. In terms of display, it may feature a 6.6-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth and vibrant viewing experience.

It is important to note that more details are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch in September.
