Now, breaking his silence on the issue, Akshay Kumar has shared his thoughts. Speaking exclusively to Pinkvilla, the actor was asked about the future of Hera Pheri 3 and the current situation. Akshay candidly said, "Whatever is happening is happening in front of you." He added, "Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everything goes well." Reassuring fans, he concluded, "Everything will go well only. I know, for sure."

The controversy stems from Paresh Rawal’s desire to distance himself from his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. The actor confirmed that he had exited Hera Pheri 3. His decision led to friction with the makers, eventually resulting in a legal fallout.

Akshay Kumar reportedly took legal action against Paresh Rawal after his exit from Hera Pheri 3. Paresh theb took to X and wrote, "My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest."

Talking about the legal action, Akshay’s production house, through their lawyer, Pooja Tidke, told PTI, "There will be severe legal consequences. It's of course hurt the franchise. We have written to him letting him know that there are a lot of legal consequences involved. There have been expenses incurred towards the cast, towards the crew, towards leading senior actors, logistics equipment, and shooting of the trailer."
