Superman New Trailer Is MASSIVE, Loaded With Lex Luthor's Jealousy, Guy Gardner; Did DC Introduce Baby Joey? WATCH

The final trailer of James Gunn's upcoming DC movie Superman has dropped and it's the most striking promotional stuff we've seen about the David Corenswet starrer so far. The trailer is loaded with new footage that's high on action, giving us a better view of Lex Luthor and a lot more.

Lex Luthor is on display full throttle, soaking in all the hatred and jealousy as he gets on a mission to defeat Superman and his other challengers through his army. The trailer shows him entering the Fortress of Solitude along with The Engineer. Soon the latter's deadly arms turn into saws and go on a killing spree of the robots there. Lex threatens of taking on every close to Clark Kent, including Lois Lane, and, wait... even Superman's parents?! One can only wonder the depths Lex will go to break the personal life of our superhero.

While Kent's alter ego Superman fights the fire-breathing giant Kaiju who's remained mysterious so far, we also get to see the Justice Gang, comprised of Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Krypto, the dog. Superman's laser-beam fight also makes up an exciting part of the trailer.

The highlight of the trailer, however is Superman holding an alien-looking, misformed baby. Presumed to be Baby Joey, the son of Metamorpho and Sapphire Stagg, it takes stakes higher for the movie. It can only be assumed that Lex Luthor might kidnap Baby Joey to force Metamorpho in teaming up with him in his fight against Superman.

Superman's previous trailers and promos have given us a sneak peek into its multiple villains along with the story of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. But, the brand new trailer has kept all of it at bay and rather teased us with stuff that makes its main plot.

Superman is the first film of the DC Universe era, and a reboot by James Gunn chronicling the Man of Steel. While Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult plays the main villain, megalomaniac super-genius Lex Luthor. Superman also stars Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as the Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. It is set to release on July 11.
