Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 8: Kamal Haasan's Gangster Film Sees No Growth, Inches Closer To Rs 45 Crore Mark

Despite high expectations, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life is struggling at the box office. The gangster drama, marking the reunion of these two legends after 37 years since Nayakan, generated significant buzz before its release. When it premiered on June 5, the film received a strong initial response from audiences, but the momentum quickly faded after Monday. By Thursday, Thug Life showed no growth, indicating a sharp slowdown in its box-office performance.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Thug Life earned only Rs 1.15 crore on Day 8 (Thursday), pushing its total collection to Rs 43.37 crore.

The week kicked off strong with a notable collection of Rs 2.3 crore on Monday, but saw a noticeable decline on Tuesday, bringing in just Rs 1.8 crore. On Wednesday, the movie witnessed a sharp drop and raked in a mere Rs 1.15 Crore. Given the downward trend, the Kamal Haasan starrer appears to be struggling at the box office and may end up being one of the year’s major disappointments.
