Kim Soo-Hyun NOT Involved In Kim Sae-Ron Whistleblower Stabbing Case, Authorities Debunk Scandalous Claim

Queen Of Tears actor Kim Soo-Hyun has been officially cleared of any connection to a violent assault on a whistleblower tied to a manipulated audio recording involving the late actress Kim Sae-Ron. The sensational claims, which spread rapidly online, have now been firmly debunked by Korean authorities.

On May 19, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York issued a statement confirming that no Korean national has been arrested or implicated in any criminal case involving attempted murder or serious charges in the United States. According to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, such an arrest would legally require immediate consular notification—none of which has been reported.

The alleged victim, referred to as A, had initially claimed they were stabbed nine times in the neck in New Jersey by two men, one Korean and one Chinese. A alleged that the attack was part of a plot orchestrated by Kim Soo-Hyun. The story gained traction after YouTuber Kim Se-Ui, head of the Garosero Research Institute, held a press conference on May 7 and claimed that FBI records linked the attackers to the actor via phone records.

However, the narrative quickly began to fall apart. A later altered their account, stating that only their arm had been injured. A medical report they submitted listed wounds to the right shoulder and left hand, directly contradicting the earlier claim of severe neck injuries.

What is the controversy about?

The controversy stems from a suspicious audio clip allegedly supplied by A, in which Kim Sae-Ron is heard claiming she dated Kim Soo-Hyun back in 2015, when she was a minor. But journalist and YouTuber Lee Jin-Ho released a forensic analysis suggesting the audio was AI-generated, complete with added background noise and manipulated voice inserts. Lee further claimed that A had reached out to both him and Kim Soo-Hyun’s representatives, demanding money in exchange for silence.
