Mumbai Weather: A day after incessant rains lashed Mumbai on Monday morning, flooding low-lying areas and disrupting road traffic, suburban trains, and metro rail services, IMD officials said the city may see more showers. The IMD has forecast cloudy skies with the possibility of heavy rainfall at a few spots in Mumbai and its suburbs over the next 24 hours.
On June 17, Mumbai is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with intermittent rain. No weather warning has been issued, and temperatures are likely to range between 31 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius.
The Met department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, and Sidhudurg districts in the Konkan region and Amravati, Bhandara, Gondia, and Nagpur districts in Vidarbha, predicting "heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few or isolated places" till 8.30 am Tuesday

Rain Fury In Mumbai
Mumbai was battered by persistent morning showers on Monday, resulting in waterlogging across several low-lying areas and severely impacting transportation. Incessant rains disrupted road traffic, suburban train services, and metro rail operations. The island city recorded 95 mm of rainfall, while the eastern and western suburbs received 58 mm and 75 mm, respectively.Flight operations were also affected. Air India warned that heavy rains may disrupt arrivals and departures from Mumbai. IndiGo Airlines issued a travel advisory earlier in the day, alerting passengers flying to or from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) about potential delays.
On the suburban rail network, passengers reported delays of 20 to 30 minutes on the Central and Western lines due to waterlogged tracks and signal issues.
The impact of the monsoon is being felt across the state, with heavy rains lashing the Konkan region and other parts of Maharashtra in recent days. Since June 1, rain-related incidents have claimed 18 lives and left 65 people injured, according to officials.
