1 Year Of Chandu Champion: Kartik Aaryan Admits Kabir Khan Film Transformed Him 'Mentally, Physically'

A year ago, on June 14, Kartik Aaryan left everyone impressed with his performance in Chandu Champion. The actor essayed the role of India's first Paralympics gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar in the Kabir Khan directorial. Today (June 14), as the film turned one, Kartik shared a heartfelt note on social media. The actor also revealed that his film has been selected for the prestigious 27th Shanghai Film Festival. Moreover, he reflected on how the movie transformed him.

Taking to Instagram, Kartik wrote, "One Year Of ChanduChampion and Woke up to this news as Chandu Champion has been selected at the prestigious 27th Shanghai International Film Festival Chandu Champion will always hold a special place in my heart- not just because it has earned so many accolades, honours, and immense love both in India and on global platforms- but because it transformed me, both mentally and physically, forever (sic)."

The actor added that portraying Murlikant Petkar on the big screen is one of the honourable and incredible achievements of his life. "I hope this champion journey never stops… Thank you, Kabir sir and Sajid sir, for trusting me with this film. And heartfelt gratitude to the audience for always standing by my side in every decision I make (sic)," he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik has an interesting line-up of films ahead. The actor is currently shooting for Dharma Productions' Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. He will be seen alongside Ananya Panday in the romantic drama.

Other than that, the actor has Naagzilla and an untitled film with Anurag Basu lined up. The Anurag Basu directorial is set for Diwali 2025 release. As for Naagzilla, it will hit the big screen on August 14, 2026.
